Beloved & The Reality of Being

I don’t know exactly how to write a blog, well! I have read some, I have liked some, after all the reading, I felt like writing one, I think the best is to say, I will give a try. As I am not a writer, may be you will not find much maturity in my writing, Anyhow! I will try to present my perception.

I was always curious with everything around me, when I got matured, I mean when I came to know that I can think. I always try to imagine where I came from, I always wonder, what’s my purpose here, in this place where I exist, what is the meaning of existing, why do we exist?

Does God exist for real? Is it the God who created us? If yes, then why did God create me? How I got the ability to think ‘that I exist’, to identify my identity, to think that I am “me”. Is being, a gift or a curse? A well-known poet says, I don’t remember the exact lines, but the poet is asking himself, that “what would have existed if he did not”. Or all this is a waste of time, and we are just the coincidence of nature, as according to science.

As I am not an atheist, I can’t or I do not want to believe that our existence is just a fluke of nature. Well! I am not religious either. I believe in creator but religion is too much for me to swallow. Everyone is born with the sense to identify good & bad, it is just one should develop the ability to question self, religion cannot be the answer for good or evil around us. Religion can help you identify the truth, but only when you are seeking for it, but getting obsessed with it, in order to show ours is greater than others, this is nothing but ignorance or blindness from reality. I like to quote few words from a TV series, a character in the show says “Spirituality is for those who is seeking answers & Religion is for those who is seeking rewards”. What I see in all the communities and religions is, everyone who talks about God, is either trying to sell God with the lust for reward or with the fear of hell, the first one points towards selfishness & the second to the slavery.

Its foolishness for me to believe that God expects either selfishness or slavery from me, I don’t believe in fear of God, The only thing which makes sense to me is, God has created us from love and expects the same from us. So, if we want to understand our existence, love is the only way.

Every one describes love in the way they feel convenient with, but I hardly believe that, getting obsessed with a person, because you love them, it’s not love. It’s not ‘you love them’, it’s that you need them in order to feel yourself complete, because you have imagined yourself, your life with that person & you cannot let go of it, this is also a kind of selfishness, as you are needing someone for your satisfaction.

‘Love is love, only when it is selfless’.

The real meaning of love is the sacrifice of free will, sacrifice of the self-existence for the existence of the beloved. But, until the ego is alive there is no possibility of love to happen, ego is darkness, and this darkness can only be blown off by the longingness for the beloved.

When someone is in true love, he forgets his own existence, his own existence feels lighter to that of the beloved, true lover forgets himself in the longingness for the beloved. Once one has tasted the divine wine of love, he becomes nothing for himself and his beloved becomes everything to him. When one has reached this stage where self-existence is merely a lie, this is when, the darkness of ego is blown off.

This is when one can see the reality as the way it actually is, this is what we are created for, It is not all about living happily & dying peacefully, every creature we know of, does the same, living & dying, our ability to think is the only thing which differs us from other creatures, thinking about beloved is love, questioning existence of self is love, striving to understand self is love.

Selfless Love is only thing which will lead us to understanding, & eventually to knowingness.
